Artist tecstil yw Debbie Smyth sydd mwyaf canfyddadwy am ei darluniau edau ; creїr y darnau celf cyfoes, chwareus a soffistigedig yma trwy ymestyn rhwydwaith o edau rhwng cynllun o binnau. Mae ei gwaith yn pylu’r ffiniau rhwng darluniau celf gain a celf tecstil, gwaith fflat a 3D , arlunio a brodwaith,, yn codi’r linell yn llythrennol oddi ar y papur mewn cyfres o ddarluniau ‘pin ac edau’.
“On first glance, it can look like a mass of threads but as you get closer sharp lines come into focus, creating a spectacular image. The images are first plotted out before being filled out with the thread, the sharp angles contrasting with the floating ends of the thread. And despite the complexity of the lengthy process I try to capture a great feeling of energy and spontaneity, and, in some cases, humour”

Wrth gydweithio â dylunwyr mewnol, penseiri ac ymarferwyr creadigol eraill, gwthia Debbie ei gwaith hyd yn oed ymhellach.
