Fundraiser EventJane Phillips Award

24 Hydref - 24 Hydref 2013

In support of The Jane Phillips Award, Mission Gallery is hosting a Fundraising evening:

6pm Thursday 24th October 2013

As you all know the Jane Phillips Award has been a fantastic success since its launch two years ago. Our second recipient of the Award, Laura Reeves, is already benefiting from the opportunity.

Your support is invaluable and this event will allow us to celebrate the success of the award with you and all our supporters.

Laura Reeves will be present to give a short presentation and talk about how she intends to use the award; there will be artwork for sale which has been generously donated with all proceeds from the evening being in support of the Jane Phillips Award. There will be some exciting news about the new developments for the award and of course refreshments, raffle and live music.

This will be an excellent opportunity to purchase some great works of art from established and emerging artists fromWalesand beyond. Artists such as;Paul Emmanuel, Iwan Bala, Sue Williams, Owen Griffiths & Fern Thomas, Savage, John Pym, Ben Rowe, Mary Lloyd Jones, William Brown, Tony Goble, Lowri Davies, Ann Jordan, Sara Rees, Nicolas William Hughes, Nick Holly and many more...

It is also a time to continue the ethos of Jane Phillips and discover works from artists in the early stages of their career such as Laura Edmunds, the first recipient of the Jane Phillips and Laura Reeves, the current recipient of the Jane Phillips Award.

If you are interested in taking part in any of the above, or would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Jane Phillips Award

‘To mentor, nurture and support the professional artistic growth of young, emerging artists across the Visual and Applied Arts’

Jane Phillips was one of the most dynamic people working within the visual arts and crafts, demonstrable by the response of donations and support of the Jane Phillips Award over the last two years. Since its launch, we have raised over £15,000 to support the award and have supported two artists with a studio residency, bursary, and mentoring.

The Jane Phillips Award gratefully acknowledges the support of all its patrons and donations received.
